The Fallen are among the most unsettling enemies in the world of Eluvia — not just because of how they look, but because of who they used to be.
They’re undead, yes, but not in the simple sense. These were once living Huma, Alta, Terra, or Agua — friends, neighbors, maybe even family. But after falling into the hands of Vortannis, they were twisted by his dark sorcery. What’s left is a soulless, mindless husk that moves with eerie purpose and deadly intent.
Some wear fragments of their old armor. Others still carry rusted weapons. But the worst part is recognizing a familiar face beneath the decay. Many hesitate to strike, and that hesitation can be fatal.
You can’t reason with a Fallen. You can’t heal them. The only way to stop one is to destroy the body completely — by fire or by severing the head. Thankfully, they aren’t common. It takes a disturbing amount of magic and effort to create even one.
